Srinagar: After the successful inclusion of the  Pencak Silat in the  37th National Games Goa 2023, Beach Pencak Silat is back again in a multi-sporting event.

This time,  Beach Pencak Silat will be a part of the Beach Sports Festival, organized by the Union Territory Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu from January 5 to 11, 2023, in Diu.

The  Beach Pencak Silat tournament at the festival is set to be a U-21 event, with twelve participants. To this extent, the IPSF has formally invited Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu to field their team as the hosts of the event. The other eleven participating teams will be decided upon the interest expressed by the various State Pencak Silat associations. In case of receipt of a large number of interests from states, competitive criteria may be considered for nomination from the latest Senior, Junior Nationals held this year.

Each team can register up to 12 players and three officials; the other technical details will be announced later. The deadline for confirmation of participation is December 20, 2023. Interested State Associations can send in the intent to participate at  ceo.indiansports@gmail.com.
