Indian Pencak Silat Federation Celebrates Historic Medal Haul

New Delhi, October 16, 2024: The Indian Pencak Silat Federation (IPSF) is proud to congratulate Team India for its spectacular performance at the 8th Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2024, held in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, from October 7th to 16th, 2024. The 37-member strong contingent returned home with an impressive tally of 16 medals, comprising 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 12 Bronze medals.

This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone for Indian Pencak Silat, demonstrating the growing prowess of Indian athletes in this traditional Southeast Asian martial art. The IPSF applauds the dedication, resilience, and teamwork displayed by Team India, which has propelled India to a sixth position in the Asian Pencak Silat landscape.

The IPSF extends gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, for their unwavering support. The federation also acknowledges the tireless efforts of coaches, officials, and support staff who contributed to Team India’s success.
