Srinagar, September 2024: The Indian Pencak Silat Federation has officially announced the selection trials for the Indian team set to participate in the 20th Senior World Pencak Silat Championship 2024-25 (Men & Women) and the 5th Junior World Pencak Silat Championship 2024-25 (Boys & Girls). The prestigious world championships will take place at ports City, Abu Dhabi, from 18th to 22nd December 2024.The selection trials for both junior and senior categories will be held at the Indoor Stadium, Srinagar, on 2nd October 2024. All participants are required to report to the venue by 1st October 2024, and the final team selections will be made on the spot after the trials.

Key Details for Participants:- An entry fee of INR 3000/- per participant has been set, which includes two days of boarding, lodging, and other arrangements for the trials.- The last date for submitting entries is 25th September 2024. State associations are requested to submit the entry details of their players via email at entries.silat@gmail.com.Participants are also reminded to bring their original passports and photographs for visa processing. Only athletes authorized by their respective state associations will be allowed to compete in the trials.These selection trials are expected to be fiercely competitive, as top athletes from across the country will vie for the honor of representing India on the global stage in Abu Dhabi this December.
